Born in Dublin Ireland 1947 Mat Grogan emigrated to Australia in his early twenties. After a long career in advertising Mat began painting full time in 2001. A member of the Wildlife Artists Association of Australia for many years, Mat has exhibited widely in several countries.
The influence of Chardin and Vermeer
is evident in his still life paintings. This is no surprise given a lifelong interest in the artists and their time. His work forms part of collections in USA, Australia, Hong Kong, Britain & Ireland. Now resident in Ireland Mat continues to paint and exhibit throughout the country.
